The Laundromat Off Malibu
Building a visual world for a single-set short was an exciting, creative challenge. I worked alongside the Production Designer to create a space that felt mundane on the surface while concealing something darker beneath.
My responsibilities centered on translating the script's psychological tension into a tangible environment: set dressing, sourcing props, and ensuring the space's visual details reinforced the narrative's slow reveal.
From laying down every piece of tile to sourcing era-appropriate timepieces, it was deeply satisfying to see the environment support the story's unease without overpowering it. The uncanny charm was tangible on and off screen.
